EXAMINING BOARD: Consisting of a maximum of 5 ordained men elected to serve terms of 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 years. It is the duty of this board to meet with all Ministers and Deacons desiring either ordination, license, or membership into the Association; request having been made by the Church of which the candidate is a member. They examine all candidates by a set of questions, approved by the Association, and if the examination proves satisfactory, recommendation is made to the body. This board acts on matters of credentials pertaining to individuals or churches as invited by the local church and to make recommendations. Churches submit any petitionary letters or requests for examination at least two weeks in advance of the Associational Meetings so that the Examining Board may meet with the candidates prior to the Saturday business session. The Examining Board may call the Moderator of any candidate's previous Association and report their findings with their recommendations, thus allowing ministers to be accepted on promise of a letter of recommendation. Further, the Examining Board requires that all men to be examined be present during the examination
